Job Description


  • Responsible and accountable, under direction of the housekeeping leader for the efficient overall day to day operation of the hotel whilst on duty. They are to maintain the highest standard of guest service and satisfaction
  • Responsible for emergency the team spirit and motivation all staff. They must also be fair and just in any staff disciplinary action required. Is also expected to be a "hands on" supervisor
  • By this, we expect that they be prepared to lend "hands on" assistance if a hotel area becomes very busy . It must be emphasizes that this "hands on" assistance must be approached with the "hotel as a whole" in mind and must not be detrimental to the efficient operations of other areas
  • As a representative of senior management, will be called upon to deal with guest problems or complaint related to the maintenance of the rooms
  • Is responsible for the general appearance of the rooms and their bathrooms, cleanliness, working conditions of the equipment, the overall decor and atmosphere
  • Informs maintenance of any defaults ( TV out order, tap not working, lighting, etc) and check upon repairing
  • Is responsible for the laundry service of the hotel
  • Supervises the general cleaning, the general appearance and the decor of all working areas and offices of the hotel
  • Manages the stocks of guests supplies and advertising documents and supervises their distribution
  • Is responsible for all equipment used in his department as well as the cleaning supplies
  • Is responsible for all Master Key in the hotel
  • Ensures that inspection norms set by the Executive Housekeeper are implemented and regularly adhered to
  • Ensure that all documents, advertisement and information left or display in the rooms are updated and do not break the local rules and laws (morality and customs)
  • Ensures that the use by customers of all equipment and devices is perfectly safe and risk-less.
  • Oversees the daily movement of guest activities and be able to resolves any guest complaints.
  • Ensures that all staff behavior, personal grooming and service skill in line with the hotels's standard
  • Ensures all staff is present at schedule times
  • Reports directly to Assistant Executive Housekeeper
  • Assists in maintaining a close working relationship with all Departments of the hotel
  • To be flexible and willing when asked to fill in any areas where needed to help in an emergency of difficult circumstances as assigned or required by management

Work Experience


  • Primary school education
  • Good oral proficiency in English Language
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar capacity
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
  • Strong leadership ,interpersonal and training skills
  • Results and service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to multitask, work well in stress & high-pressure situations
  • A team player & builder
  • A motivator & self - starter
  • Well - presented and proffesionaly groomed at all times
