Company description

Netbank is a start-up fintech led bank, focused on the under-served. Its model is to:

  • Partner with Fintechs, banks and non-bank lenders, who have existing client networks or are looking to enter the Philippines
  • Allow these partners to sign-up clients, for an origination fee, booked on Netbank’s balance sheet. Netbank would provide:
  • Loans to clients, so the partners can grow without raising additional capital
  • Deposit accounts for clients, serviced by the partner (on a white-label basis)
  • Payment services to clients, including ACH payments, access to cards, payment to wallets, etc.
  • Technology services to the partners, allowing them more efficient processing and better client satisfaction

Netbank Virtual is a product area of Netbank, offering banking as a service via APIs to local fintech and international fintech looking to enter the market. It expects to offer services in:

  • Disburse funds: Payments via ACH, payments to wallets, payments to cash.
  • Collect funds: Receive funds from the above channels
  • Open transaction accounts/wallets
  • Open loan accounts.

Netbank will offer segment-specific solutions, aiming to roll out products to a pilot client and then a range of similar clients. A ‘solutions manager’ will be responsible for the pilot and then scaling up the client.

Responsibilities:

The Business Development Officer for International Payments will be responsible for dealing with potential leads from various channels such as networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and attending industry events, and converting these to active business relationships.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance the organization's reputation and foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Create and present compelling business proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the company's value proposition and tailored solutions.
  • Participate in sales meetings, negotiations, and discussions to close deals and secure contracts with clients or partners.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business development strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Provide feedback and market insights to improve existing offerings or create new products/services that meet customer demands.

The position will be reporting directly to Head of International Accounts and Payment Solutions.

Netbank’s differentiation is its ability to implement a partnership-based business model, in a simple and client-friendly manner. This requires NetBank to continuously ‘re-think’ the standard product designs and align internal processes. The holder of this position will succeed based on his / her ability to:

o Deeply understand the products and client priorities within the partnership business.

o Identify and evaluate opportunities for expanding the company's presence into new markets or regions.

o Be open to new approaches which meet regulatory requirements. Creatively find solutions.

Required skills and qualifications

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of business development and/or sales experience dealing with payment companies, fintech companies, and similar industries. The specific areas of expertise seen in the candidate will include:

  • Pro-active, independent (can work on his/her own with minimal supervision)
  • Results-driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand market dynamics and build relationships
  • Can negotiate effectively to drive business growth and achieve organizational objectives

Initial Tasks:

  • Work on the initial list of generated leads from the Solutions Managers and Marketing Team
  • Identify and classify potential hot leads from the list and secure an initial exploratory meeting to kick-start the sales process

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Php40,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
